Testing content: this is a fictional demonstration for reviewing the website and CMS. It is not a CNDE announcement or an invitation to a real event.

From observations to a usable record

An inspection result is most useful when another engineer can understand how it was obtained. This demonstration update follows a sample ultrasonic examination from preparation through review, showing how the equipment settings, coverage and observations belong in the same record.

The example team begins with a reference specimen and records the probe, calibration procedure and acquisition settings. Each observation is connected to its location and the relevant scan. This gives the reviewer enough context to separate a repeatable indication from a result that needs further investigation.

What the sample report includes

  • The purpose and scope of the examination.
  • Equipment settings and reference checks.
  • Annotated observations and inspection coverage.

Limitations, review notes and the next action.

The exercise closes with a review of the report by a second engineer. Questions are recorded alongside the evidence, and the report remains explicit about areas that were not examined. This sample is provided solely to check editorial layouts, search, images and CMS publication on the testing website.
